Questions patients ask.

Who can see my texts?

Your clinic's authorized staff, and Helose as their technology vendor under a Business Associate Agreement. Helose does not share your messages with other clinics or sell them to third parties.

Is SMS secure?

Within Helose, your information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Standard text messages are not encrypted by your phone carrier on the way to your device. Content may appear on your lock screen. If you choose to receive health-related texts, you accept those risks. See our SMS Terms.

How do I opt out?

Reply STOP to any message from your clinic's Helose-powered number. Your clinic is responsible for honoring opt-out requests promptly. For questions, contact your clinic directly.

What if I change my phone number?

Tell your clinic so they can update your record. Messages sent to your old number may be visible to whoever has that number next.

Does Helose sell my data?

No. Not to anyone. Not in aggregate. Not ever.

What privacy policy applies to me as a patient?

Your clinic's Notice of Privacy Practices governs how your health information is used and disclosed. Helose processes information on behalf of your clinic as a business associate.
